The infant shark grows larger over time by eating other fish, apex predators, and humans. Other shark hunters eventually go after the shark but are killed and eaten. Back on Scaly Petes boat, tensions grow between him and his son over the claims that his own father was killed by a Megalodon shark that is believed to have been extinct for over two million years.

They attempt to burn the shark alive after it eats Scaly Petes left leg, but the shark escapes and Kyle is killed in an explosion on their boat which ends up sinking.

As the shark continues to grow, the film crew grow concerned for Scaly Pete’s sanity after losing Kyle as he prepares to use extreme methods to kill the shark.

He eventually repairs and arms his fathers old PT 522 navy patrol boat with military grade firepower. He attacks the film crew after they attempt to talk him out of it and sets out to kill the shark, which has by now evolved into a Megalodon.

The shark eventually gets the upper hand on Scaly Pete who in a last ditch effort uses explosives to kill the shark and himself.

They manage to capture the shark after it goes on killing spree at a beach. After discovering that the bull shark is pregnant, the film crew become concerned when Scaly Pete cuts out the infant shark and uses a knife to identify with it later as is grows, though he loses his right hand in the process.

Lo squalo bambino cresce nel tempo mangiando altri pesci, predatori dell'apice e umani. Altri cacciatori di squali alla fine inseguono lo squalo ma vengono uccisi e mangiati. Di nuovo sulla barca di Scaly Petes, crescono le tensioni tra lui e suo figlio per le affermazioni secondo cui suo padre fu ucciso da uno squalo Megalodon che si ritiene si sia estinto per oltre due milioni di anni.

 Tentano di bruciare vivo lo squalo dopo che mangia la gamba sinistra di Scaly Petes, ma lo squalo fugge e Kyle viene ucciso in un'esplosione sulla loro barca che finisce per affondare.

Mentre lo squalo continua a crescere, la troupe cinematografica si preoccupa della sanità mentale di Scaly Pete dopo aver perso Kyle mentre si prepara ad usare metodi estremi per uccidere lo squalo.

 Alla fine ripara e arma la vecchia pattuglia della marina militare PT 522 di suo padre con potenza di fuoco di livello militare. Attacca la troupe cinematografica dopo aver tentato di dissuaderlo e decide di uccidere lo squalo, che ormai si è evoluto in un Megalodon.

 Lo squalo alla fine prende il sopravvento su Scaly Pete che in un ultimo fossato usa esplosivi per uccidere lo squalo e se stesso.

 Riescono a catturare lo squalo dopo che continua a uccidere follia in una spiaggia. Dopo aver scoperto che lo squalo toro è incinta, la troupe cinematografica si preoccupa quando Scaly Pete ritaglia lo squalo bambino e usa un coltello per identificarsi più tardi man mano che cresce, anche se perde la mano destra nel processo.
